Compare the Thirsties Deluxe Wet Bag and Simple Pail Liner to decide which cloth diaper storage solution fits your routine. We break down the trade-offs.
Quick answer
Choose the Deluxe Wet Bag for portable, on-the-go storage of up to eight diapers. Choose the Simple Pail Liner for a dedicated, waterproof diaper pail liner at home.
Where each solution shines
The Deluxe Wet Bag is designed for mobility. Its single large waterproof pocket keeps wet or soiled items contained while you’re out, and it holds enough diapers for a full day away from home. The Simple Pail Liner, by contrast, is built to stay put inside a standard pail, keeping your diaper pail fresh and organized without needing a separate liner purchase.
Your choice depends on where you need storage most. If you regularly pack a diaper bag for errands or day trips, the wet bag’s portability is hard to beat. If your main concern is keeping your home pail clean and easy to empty into the wash, the pail liner is the more straightforward solution.
The trade-off you need to know
The Deluxe Wet Bag is not designed to fit a standard pail, so using it as a home pail liner would be awkward and inefficient. Conversely, the Simple Pail Liner lacks a closure or carry handle, making it impractical for carrying wet diapers on the go. Neither product is a universal replacement for the other.
If your cloth diaper routine includes both home and outings, you may benefit from owning both—one for the pail and one for the diaper bag.
Deluxe Wet Bag vs Simple Pail Liner: Trade-offs
- Portability: The Deluxe Wet Bag is designed to carry wet or soiled items with you. The Simple Pail Liner stays in a pail and lacks handles or a closure.
- Capacity for outings: The Deluxe Wet Bag holds up to eight diapers—enough for a full day out. The Simple Pail Liner fits a standard pail and is not intended for travel.
- Home pail use: The Simple Pail Liner keeps a standard pail clean and organized. The Deluxe Wet Bag is not designed to fit a pail and works best as a standalone bag. If you need both home and on-the-go storage, consider buying one of each.
